Matthew Mills, 9/11 Truther, Arrested for Interrupting Super Bowl MVP Conference
Matthew Mills, a 30-year-old independent journalist from Brooklyn, was arrested Sunday after he interrupted a press conference for Malcolm Smith, the Super Bowl 48 MVP.
“Investigate 9-11; 9-11 was perpetrated by people in our own government,” Mills said before he walked off.
Smith was sitting behind Mills when it happened, looking bewildered the whole time.
Mills told NJ.com that he was just trying to get close to MetLife Stadium so he could carry out some interviews.
Mills was able to get past security by using an old credential that looked similar to the ones given out to the media.
“I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there,” Mills said. “It was that simple.”
He said he was able to get through security using that story.
“I didn’t think that I’d get that far,” Mills added. “I just kept getting closer and closer. Once I got past the final gate and into the stadium, I was dumbfounded.”
Mills later said that “I just saw my opportunity to get my word out there and I took it.”
