Recommended Action: Hear the staff presentation on the update regarding noise and dust issues related to the startup of the GREC Biomass Plant.

1) The source of the noise and dust complaints is the GREC Biomass Plant, which is located on property owned by the City of Gainesville and within the municipal boundaries of the City of Gainesville. 2) Most of the noise complaints have come from the residents of the Turkey Creek neighborhood, located within the municipal boundaries of the City of Alachua. 3) Complaints from fugitive wood dust have primarily come from employees at the Alachua County Public Works Department Compound which is the closest adjecent occupied property to the GREC plant.
